Dave Bledsoe lives and works in Manhattan where he photographs events and entertainment gathering throughout the boroughs of New York. He also enjoys landscape and fine art photography, actively seeking out “found photographs” of the abstruse and out of place objects and images. His work is featured extensively in the New York news and entertainment website gothamist.com, and appeared in the Wall Street Journal Metropolis feature. Dave photographs have also featured in numerous other local and national blogs and media sites. Recently, Dave has assisted the Improv Everywhere group in documenting their missions! Dave shoots both digital and film formats, actively collects antique cameras and is a frequent contributor of digital art to Fark.com.

He pays the day to day bills working as a Veterinary Technician in a busy Manhattan Veterinary Hospital. In addition to photography, Dave has published works of poetry and had a stage play produced. He lives in Harlem with two cats, far to many books and an ever increasing number of cameras.

Camera's and Lenses:

Canon 50D backed up with a Canon 20D,  with a Sigma 24-70mm 1:2.8 DG and a Canon EF 70-200mm 1:4L as my primary lens.  Those are backed up by a Canon Nifty Fifty, Canon EF 20-35mm 1:3.5 and a Tamron 90mm 1:2.8 Macro.

Film bodies are a Canon AE-1, Petri 7 Rangefinder and Yashica Mat 124G.   All negatives are scanned on Canon 8800F.  Film work primarily on Kodak Porta color 120 film and Ilford Delta 35mm Black and White.  Black and White film home processed in Kodak D76 and Kodak Fixer and C41 processing is done via Tetenal Press Kit in Patterson Tanks.
